GIST University Scholarship 2024 Fully Funded – Education Bloger

Applications for the GIST University Scholarship program are currently open now in 2024. The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology offers 300 fully funded scholarships to international students. They can pursue their Masters/MPhil and Ph.D. (including MS leading to Ph.D.) programs in South Korea. The GIST is a leading research-oriented university focusing on science and technology. Available Study Programs and Duration

• Master of Science Program (M.S.)
• Doctor of Philosophy Program (Ph.D.)

The duration of the Master’s program is 2 years and for the Ph.D. The degree program is 4 years. The scholarship covers various academic fields, ensuring a wide range of opportunities for prospective scholars.

Financial Benefits

• All applicants will receive a Fully Supported Tuition Fee of 3,415,000 won per semester
• A Student Allowance of 140,000won/month will be given to the M.S. students. 
• A student Allowance of 295,000won/month will be given to the Ph.D. students.
• Meal allowance: A 100,000won/month for meal allowance. International student allowance of 120,000won/month. Will be given to those students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.5) in the previous semester
• Research Assistantship of 4,820,000 won per year of M.S. and 11,480,000 won per year of Ph.D. also provided to students participating in research projects.
• 60% of the Korean National Health Insurance fee is subsidized.
• Annual Medical checkup
• Reimbursement for a one-way flight to Korea

To be considered for the GIST University Scholarship you must follow the eligibility criteria given below.

• Applicants from all backgrounds are eligible to apply for the GIST Scholarship program.
• If you applying to a Master’s degree Program, must hold a Bachelors’s Degree.
• If you applying to the Doctoral degree Program, must hold a master’s Degree.
