Specifics on the scholarship’s monetary value
The amount of your OGS award is based on the number of terms that you have successfully completed in a row during the course of an academic year:

A scholarship of $10,000 each academic year will be awarded.
$15,000 for the duration of three academic terms

Eligibility
The OGS is an award that is given out based on merit. Your application is reviewed and scored based on the criteria established by the educational institution that you wish to attend.

To further qualify for consideration, you must satisfy the following requirements:

In your graduate studies, you will work towards earning a master’s or doctoral degree.

You will have at least two terms of full-time enrollment in a programme during the academic year for which you are applying to this scholarship (a total of 21 to 52 weeks).

You will be enrolled in one of the following Ontario schools that is participating in the programme: The OGS is an award that is given out based on merit.

Your application is reviewed and scored based on the criteria established by the educational institution that you wish to attend.

Trent University, part of the University of Toronto

The University of Wilfrid Laurier
Università di Windsor (U. di Windsor)
The University of York
The Process of Application
Make sure to apply using the OGS application that was provided by your school. Around October is the typical time when they become available.

If you intend to apply to more than one graduate programme offered by a variety of universities, you will need to submit an OGS application for each of those programmes.

Contact the Graduate Studies Office at the university that you intend to attend in order to obtain information regarding the application process there.
